A Dream (Poem)

I wrote this a few years ago. Poetry is a very weak area for me. I know nothing about the structure of poetry. This is the only one I've written that I actually like!

A DREAM

My entwined emotions confuse my heart
In an orgy of thoughts of times past
I dream of a future that never came
A life with a different starring cast
Raven hair lit by golden sunshine
A smile welcomes me to her arms
Wanting to go forward yet slip back
Woken by a tempest of alarms
