P.E.T.A. Blasts Obama as “Murderer” for Swatting Fly

P.E.T.A. (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) representative McGinty Weaseltits issued a statement to the press today condemning President Barack Obama for killing a fly in the White House while being filmed for an interview for CNBC.

According to the P.E.T.A. spokesperson “this atrocity cannot be ignored.” Weaseltits further commented that the thousands of deaths attributed to the policies of former President George Bush are a “drop in the bucket compared this willful act of murder.” In an interview with Weaseltits, the advocate stated that the president’s gleeful demeanor and comment that his killing skills were “impressive” shows how far this administration has fallen in just six months.

"If we allow the government to continue to get away with murdering defenseless flies,” stated Weaseltits, “then soon the Obama administration will be approving the wholesales slaughter of entire species.” The spokesperson then listed a variety of species directly threatened by Obama including polar bears, pandas, poisonous frogs, cockroaches, and “less importantly the human species.”

The Oval Office has not commented on the controversy. Sources close to the president say that he has been overheard calling Weaseltits an asshole.
